Welcome Message – Kalpesh Jani, President AMASI

It is with immense pride that I present the AMASI Activity Report for September 2024 to August 2025, a year that has redefined excellence in minimal access surgery education across India. Under the exceptional leadership of Secretary Dr. Roshan Shetty A and our dedicated program coordinators, we have achieved transformative milestones that position AMASI as the premier surgical education authority in India. Our flagship AMASI LENS Live Surgery Program, brilliantly coordinated by Dr. Sameer Rege, revolutionized surgical education with 11 world-class sessions reaching 10,320 participants globally. The CME Program Series under Dr. Rajdeep Singh’s leadership delivered 9 sessions featuring international faculty from 6 countries, establishing our commitment to global knowledge exchange. Our comprehensive training initiatives have been extraordinary: FMAS Skill Courses trained 1,676 participants across 11 locations with 1,480 certifications awarded; MMAS Fellowship Program achieved 100% completion rate with 148 participants across 5 specialized courses; and the NextGen Program trained 490+ young surgeons across 8 states, securing the future of minimal access surgery. Beyond technical excellence, our 33 specialized programs, rural camps, and the Safe Lap Chole Program demonstrate our commitment to comprehensive surgical education and social responsibility, ensuring minimal access surgery benefits reach every corner of India.
